Russian ski Olympic champion Nikita Kryukov told the satellite news agency that he has started coaching the Chinese cross-country skiing (short-distance) national team.
Kryukov was the gold medalist of the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics and announced his retirement in April 2019.
Kryukov said: "Yes, I have started to lead the Chinese sprint national team in China to train this team. I am still familiar with the situation, because I was in isolation before, and the isolation period has only recently ended. I am now learning about China. There are about 30 athletes in the team and will be selected from them, and the number of teams will be reduced. So, it's all on the general level at the moment, listen to it, take a look, and get acquainted with the athletes."
